Nicole Doray, accompagn\u00e9e de Grace Swain et d'Urshian Khalid, se fait la championne de l'inclusion pour les activistes environnementaux et sociaux de la r\u00e9gion du Grand Toronto*, en mettant l'accent sur les femmes et les communaut\u00e9s bisexuelles, transsexuelles et transnationales. \"Nous voulions cr\u00e9er un espace o\u00f9 les gens se sentent soutenus sans avoir besoin de rendre service, reconnus sans \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme symboliques, et connect\u00e9s \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 sans avoir besoin de valider leur travail ou de prouver qu'ils m\u00e9ritent d'\u00eatre dans cet espace\", Nicole Doray, Feb. 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

Leur approche innovante consiste \u00e0 co-cr\u00e9er l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement avec des activistes, afin de garantir l'inclusivit\u00e9 d\u00e8s le d\u00e9part. En collaborant avec des leaders de diff\u00e9rents secteurs et groupes d'\u00e2ge, ils visent \u00e0 repr\u00e9senter les diverses voix qui conduisent le changement social et climatique.<\/span><\/p>\n

Malgr\u00e9 l'engouement suscit\u00e9 par leur initiative, des difficult\u00e9s sont apparues. La coordination avec 50 \u00e0 60 dirigeants a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de g\u00e9rer des retours d'information contradictoires. Un exemple notable a \u00e9t\u00e9 leur effort pour fournir des photos professionnelles, reconnaissant l'importance d'une repr\u00e9sentation diversifi\u00e9e tout en r\u00e9pondant aux pr\u00e9occupations d'exploitation.<\/span><\/p>\n

As they forge ahead, Nicole and her team remain committed to meeting their community's needs. Beyond mere networking, their goal is to foster genuine connections, believing impactful work stems from mutual understanding and compassion. Ils ont cherch\u00e9 des subventions correspondant \u00e0 leurs valeurs, en donnant la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 la justice, \u00e0 l'inclusion et \u00e0 la flexibilit\u00e9. <\/span>La bourse d'assembl\u00e9e du Havre Jeunesse<\/span><\/a><\/span>, avec son processus de demande accommodant et l'accent mis sur la diversit\u00e9, s'est av\u00e9r\u00e9e d\u00e9terminante.<\/span><\/p>\n

L'\u00e9v\u00e9nement ayant obtenu le soutien de la communaut\u00e9, Nicole s'attend \u00e0 ce que sa r\u00e9alisation t\u00e9moigne d'une v\u00e9ritable collaboration.
